The EliteBook Folio – Hewlett Packard’s first business-class ultrabook. It has several of the functions we’ve come to expect from customer-focused ultrabooks such as a thin and light style and solid state storage.
However it also has business security functions as well as one thing that’s nearly impossible to find on an ultrabook – replaceable battery.
The ultrabook has a 14″, 1366×768 pixel display, weights – 3.6 pounds, and 0.75″ thick.
The laptop features a DisplayPort, VGA, 3 USB 3.0 ports and Ethernet port, a Smart Card reader and finger-print scanning device into the case. The Elitebook Folio additionally has an embedded TPM protection chip and supports total volume encryption.
Whilst Hewlett Packard’s customer ultrabooks that will launch with 2nd generation Intel Core CPU’s and get Ivy Bridge upgrades later this year, the EliteBook Folio will ship with Ivy Bridge.
The laptop includes 2 memory slots (for up to 16GB of RAM). Hewlett Packard will offer hard disk and solid state disk options, with support for up to 500GB of storage or 256GB with an SSD.
